Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on the 8th of August 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who were a dentist and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her initial passion for drama as well as theatre. She initially hoped of becoming a specialist in monkeys was eclipsed by her wish to pursue a degree in theater and drama. The early success of her career and the rapid rise in fame made her a promising young actor. Following her studies in 1998 she participated in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching acting professionally. While she attended The Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou has stayed away from the Catholic tradition, saying that she is not officially Catholic. The modeling and acting careers of Tautou are interspersed. Tautou was the model of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious interest in photography and recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival with the name Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the media who scrutinized her following her rise to fame in the film Amelie. Additionally, there are numerous photographs of herself. Audrey Tautou's global success and fame soared after her performance as Amelie Poulain's main actress in the film Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie. Amelie made international waves on the screen and was awarded awards across the globe. It's also the biggest French language film to ever be released in the US. In the wake of this achievement, Tautou was featured in a wide range of movies ranging that ranged from British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles, and then he moved into Hollywood with Ron Howard's direction of the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
